The AquaMarina strategy

Our strategy is based on Research and Environmental Education incorporating scientific, political, legal and organizational issues.

Objectives:

- To ensure the maintenance of ecosystems.
- To preserve key and vulnerable species.
- To promote the development and management of coastal protected areas.
- To promote scientific research.
- To involve local communities in the conservation process of coasts.
- To promote a social-economic sustainable development.
- To develop a participatory management system.
- To strengthen the capability of management authorities.

Although many of our living resources remain healthy, the pressures and demands placed on them will continue to increase. Our main challenge is to maintain the long term viability of the ecosystem, addressing social and economic needs.

Finally, AquaMarina commits to working in cooperation with local communities, promoting respect for rights, culture and tradition, and looking for its participation during the decision making process.
At AquaMarina we believe that helping communities to have close contact with nature is a good way to make, all together, a difference in the conservation of our seas and coasts.
