Education
The main objective of this Program is to attract the attention
of the general public on the current problems of the marine
environment, and to encourage people to participate in the
conservationist efforts, developing a respect for nature.
Education efforts directed toward general public include
information on a variety of environmental subjects as information
brochures, special events, and interactive conferences for
both children and adults.
Education and training are critical components of AquaMarina
works. For that reason we are developing an Internship Research
Program. AquaMarina also runs long-term research projects
on marine ecology and Conservation with a strong component
in environmental education and with an extensive participation
of local and foreign students.
AquaMarina also offers free of charge training for teachers
in high schools. Environmental care is an investment for
the future based in the education of the youngest. Educating
young people will help to make a difference easily. For
that reason we are running the AguaViva Program aimed at
kids.
AquaMarina research promotes the responsible use of marine
resources, growth of local coastal economies keeping an
informed citizenry.
